The Shimano XTR Di2 M9200 Upgrade Kit is 100% backward compatible with previous generation Shimano 12-speed cassettes, chainrings (cranksets), and chains. Compatible models include: XTR M9100, Deore XT M8100, SLX M7100, and Deore M6100.
Medium cage derailleurs are compatible with 45t cassettes and long cage derailleurs are compatible with 51t cassettes.
